About This Piece

Excellent work from this Indian Born (1930) artist, who moved to South Africa. She has received International critical acclaim and her work rarely reaches the market Reddy’s style of painting is clearly influenced by Modernism especially in her simplification and flattening of forms. Many of her paintings feature images of women or nature as well as rich bright colours. Gouache on paper on board behind glass in original frame. Last on the market in 1971 after hanging at the Womens International Art Club, purchased through Magdelene Street Gallery Cambridge, England by ourselves. Image 15.25" x 10.5". Framed 20.25" x 15"
