Vintage Design

Wonderful rattan two-seater sofa with four-strand wavy curved rattan armrests. The condition of the sofa is excellent with minimal attractive patina. All connections between the two individual sections are tight and in place. with its dimensions, the sofa offers an excellent seating experience. An absolute highlight on every terrace or winter garden.

This extraordinary piece shows all the details that are so characteristic of Paul Frankl's work. Therefore it can be assumed that this is an authentic piece by Paul Frankl. However, there is no manufacturer's certificate available. Frankl was an Austrian designer and architect who played with biomorphic shapes and rattan as well as bamboo in the 1940s and became known for his Bretzel designs in rattan.
