Man Machine

Konstantin Grcic’s new furniture collection Man Machine—named after the 1978 album by legendary German electronic-synthpop group Kraftwerk—is a range of pieces made exclusively in glass. A material rarely used in contemporary design, each glass piece also incorporates mechanized components which, along with the flexible black silicone, allow the pieces to move at the request of the user, bringing the often harsh material to life.

Always a fan of Konstantin’s work, I’ve been waiting excitedly for this new collection to be released. Placing them against a backdrop of simple pale plywood, the Parisian Galerie kreo have done a lovely job of presenting the pieces.
