Space Age Armchair by Raphael Raffel, France, 1970

This ivory plastic shell armchair has been reupholstered in leopard-print velvet by Edmond Petit. A geometric lacquered wood assembly replaces its missing original leg. The plastic shell shows signs of wear and patina consistent with age and use, such as minimal scratches and light stains.
