About This Piece

Vintage Design

A rare tall piece of furniture in blond mahogany veneer in the Louis XVI style. It opens with two glass doors, framed in horizontal blond mahogany veneer, contrasting with the vertically arranged veneered traverses. The doors open on three brass hinges and are fitted with an original working key lock. The doorways are in chased bronze. The doors have a projecting cover plate. Inside, there are five shelves on racks. The crosspieces (top and bottom) are made of alternating dark and light woods. The canted uprights alternate rosewood and light wood to simulate fluting.
The sides of this bookcase feature a butterfly-wing mahogany veneer.
Elegant and very slender, this display cabinet will seduce you with its narrow width and shallow depth. You'll be able to display your rare objects at your leisure.
