About This Piece

Portrait is an original drawing in pen and china ink on a creamy colored paper realized by Michel George Michel in the early 20th Century. Good condition with two original holes of paper at the top and diffused foxing. Included a Passepartout; 49 x34 cm Michel Georges-Michel, pseudonym of Michel Georges Dreyfus, is a painter, journalist, novelist, French translator, born on 3 November 1883 in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, where he died on 31 March 1985. Drawing on the teaching of his masters (Friez and Dufy), he painted some portraits of the painters he frequented, including an oil portrait on Picasso’s profile paper in Vallauris in 1954.
