About This Piece

The Cats is an original drawing in pen on ivory-colored paper, realized by Marie Paulette Lagosse (1921-1996). Hand-signed on the lower right in pen. With a drawing of another sleeping cat on the rear. The state of preservation of the artwork is excellent. Included a white Passepartout: 34 x 49 cm. The artwork represents cats through intense black color, by quick and confident stroke. The artwork characterized by well-define hatching, The artist's efforts indicate the perfect applying of aesthetic features and creates a strong feeling of empathy with cats, the artist's passion for cat by reviving them through art.
