Wonmin Park

Wonmin Park was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1982. He studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven, graduating in 2011. In his final year as a student, he also interned both for Aldo Bakker’s design firm and Studio Makkink & Bey, before opening his eponymous studio in The Netherlands.

Park’s work is characterized by a sense of lightness and purity. Notable projects include: the Haze Furniture Series (2012), constructed of pigment-colored resin slabs in simple geometric shapes, which seem simultaneously substantial and insubstantial; as well as White Paper Classification (2012), a delicate maple table inspired by the overlap of two pieces of paper.
