Nacho Carbonell

Eindhoven, Netherlands

Nacho Carbonell was born in Valencia, Spain in 1980. In 2003, he earned a B.A. in industrial design from Cardenal Herrera University in Spain, followed in 2007 by a second degree, with honors, from Design Academy Eindhoven in The Netherlands. His highly imaginative graduation projects, Dream of Sand and Pump It Up, garnered immediate international attention when they were exhibited the same year in Milan during Salone del Mobile.

Carbonell has remained in Eindhoven, where his studio continues to focus on conceptually charged objects and installations, exploring the tensions between form and function, nature and culture, design and art. His work is represented by Galleria Rossana Orlandi in Milan and Galerie BSL in Paris and collected by both public institutions and private aficionados.
