Art + Industry was founded in 1987 in Berlin, focusing on outstanding furniture design from the 1950s to ’80s, including chairs, sofas, desks, tables, cabinetry, and lighting. The gallery's collection features a curated range of tubular steel furniture classics and other rare collectibles, such as art glass from Murano and Czechoslovakia, Bakelite and Scandinavian silver jewelry, and unique antique pieces. Its roster includes work by mid-20th-century and Bauhaus designers such as Mies Van Der Rohe, Marcel Breuer, Marianne Brandt, Christian Dell, and Wilhelm Wagenfeld.

In 2013, Art + Industry opened a second Berlin location in a loft at Tempelhof airport on Ringbahnstrasse to complement the original Charlottenburg gallery. In addition to its expansive collection, the gallery offers comprehensive restoration services.
