Vintage Design

Koene Oberman was the founder of Meubelfabriek Gelderland, an influential Dutch furniture brand known for high-quality, modern designs since 1936. He introduced innovative production methods and worked with renowned designers such as Ib Kofod-Larsen, Rob Parry and Jan des Bouvrie, giving Gelderland a strong reputation.

His furniture was characterized by clean lines, durable materials and a timeless character, inspired by Scandinavian design. This armchair fits perfectly within the Mid-Century Modern style. The design features a slim gray painted metal frame, a light gray upholstered seat and back, and a comfortable, slightly inclined seating position. This model combines functionality and elegance.
